You may be wondering what the hell DC++ means, but it's pretty simple to understand. It's a P2P client, but unlike other clients, this one uses a process called Direct Connect. Direct Connect allows you to directly connect to a hub (or server) which other users from around the world are also connected to.

Once you're connected to a hub, you can search for files and download them from other users. Users can also download files from you, if you choose to share your files. Because this client uses a direct connection, the upload/download speeds are slightly higher than other file sharing clients. There are also download slots for each file. When these slots are full, you might not be able to download the file at all.

Overall, I think it's a great alternative to BitTorrent and other file sharing clients, and it is great to use once in a while. One of the only problems with this client is the limited number of files i.e. doesn't have a large amount of users.

If you'd like to try out this client, here's a simple tutorial that shows you how to start downloading files.

1. You'll need to download the DC++ client from here.

2. Once you've installed the client, open it and go to the Public Hubs tab.

3. A list of hubs should automatically pop-up. You can select which hub list to use using the drop-down arrow. If a list still doesn't appear, you can add hubs manually using these URLs:

3. To connect to a hub, just double-click and a new tab will open automatically.

4. Once it says you're connected, click on the search button.

5. It will then open another tab with a search form on the left. Type whatever you are looking for in the bar and click "Search".

6. To download a file, first make sure there's a slot available, then right-click on the file and select "Download" from the menu.

7. Once your file starts to download, you can check the download stats at the bottom of the window.

Now you should know how to download your own files! Please help me by clicking some ads if you enjoyed this tutorial. Any questions are welcome, all you have to do is post a comment.
